In the wake of the Marvel Cinematic Universe introducing the concept of multiverse, a fan has envisioned Spider-Man 4 bringing together characters from Marvel Studios, The Defenders, and Sony Pictures. This could involve not only Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield returning alongside Tom Holland to defeat villains from earlier Spider-Man films, but also uniting Sony Pictures’ franchise with that of Marvel Studios in Tom Holland’s next adventure as Peter Parker.
An artist, known as Ben Solo Cup, created a fan poster for the upcoming MCU Spider-Man movie, featuring an array of heroes facing Kingpin. The poster includes Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Zendaya as MJ, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, and Sydney Sweeney as Black Cat. Beneath this, Daredevil leads the MCU’s street-level heroes; a group consisting of Moon Knight, The Punisher, Echo, Kate Bishop, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones – a team-up that Marvel fans would love to see on screen.
Currently, the plot for Tom Holland’s fourth Spider-Man film is under wraps, but it is known to be in development. After the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans expect Peter Parker to be living a lonely life, fighting crime in the streets of New York. With series like Echo and Daredevil: Born Again laying the groundwork for crime in the city – led by Kingpin – it would not be surprising if the next Spider-Man film brought these characters together to face Wilson Fisk and prevent him from taking over New York.
Ben Solo Cup shared his own pitch for Spider-Man 4’s storyline involving “The Devil’s Reign” plot, with Fisk becoming the Mayor of New York and outlawing vigilantes. The artist suggests that this movie could act as a conclusion to the story, bringing together all the street-level Marvel heroes for an epic crossover. If such a plot (or similar) were to become reality, the first clues may be found in the Echo series, which premieres in January 2024 and features a connection to Daredevil: Born Again with the appearance of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock.
