1. Scooby-Doo
Scooby-Doo, an American animated cartoon franchise, has been entertaining audiences since 1969. The first series, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, was created by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears for Hanna-Barbera Productions. This classic Saturday-morning cartoon followed the adventures of four teenagers – Fred, Daphne, Velma, and Shaggy – and their talking brown Great Dane named Scooby-Doo. Together, they tackled mysteries involving supernatural creatures, often stumbling their way to the solution.
Building on the success of the original series, Hanna-Barbera and Warner Bros. Animation have produced a multitude of follow-up and spin-off animated shows, along with various related works. These include television specials, telefilms, direct-to-video films, and even two theatrical feature films produced by Warner Bros. Throughout these iterations, Scooby-Doo has introduced different variations on its supernatural theme. Some versions also feature new characters like Scooby’s cousin Scooby-Dum and nephew Scrappy-Doo, either alongside or instead of the original gang.
